It is with great sadness that the club announces the passing of its Honorary President. Iain Clark died peacefully at home yesterday after a long illness suffered with great dignity. Iain will be sorely missed by the many friends he had at the club. The club wishes to extend its condolences to Iain’s wife Kate and of course all the family. Rest in Peace Iain.

‘I am still coming to terms with the loss of Pinky and the club has lost one of its greatest ever servants and he must never be forgotten at Victoria Park. It is immeasurable what he did for the club and without him it is highly doubtful the Jags would have gone on to so much success on the field. His funeral service was very appropriate and those of us in attendance learned some new things about this wonderful man, I for one had always wondered how he got the nickname of Pinky, I need wonder no more. There was a laughter at the service when some of the tales of him were told and I think Iain would have approved. I found Iain to be a kind, generous, witty, thoughtful and very knowlegable person who was never one for blowing his own trumpet about success and he was thus very humble. He was, first and foremost, a Jags fan who was far more prone to be in with the supporters rather thatn in the boardroom and that spoke volumes. I shall remember this gentle man the rest of my days and thinking of him will no doubt bring a chuckle even when I am down. RIP Iain, you will never be forgotten at Buckie Thistle FC.
