Banffshire Advertiser MastheadTwo late goals secured a 2-0 win for Buckie Thistle at derby rivals Deveronvale.

The home side played for 50 minutes with just ten men after Craig Cowie was shown a straight red card just before half-time for a reckless challenge on Kai Ross.

Buckie had dominated possession in the first half but created few clear cut chances.

The Jags continued to dominate proceedings in the second half but struggled to break down a well organised home defence.

Just when it looked as if the game might end in a goalless stalemate, Buckie made the breakthrough with nine minutes remaining.

Sub Andy Low’s inswinging corner was headed home by Donnie Munro at the near post.

The night got worse for Vale a minute from the end when defender Lukas Krobot was shown a red card for a second bookable offence.

And from the free-kick, Low’s driven shot was headed into his own net by Kevin Souter.

Buckie manager Graeme Stewart felt his team got their reward in the end for a good performance
